1st Day: Today, we begin our Florida Circle Adventure, traveling through South Carolina and Georgia. We'll enjoy a drive along a portion of historic A1A, renowned for its scenic and historical coastal beauty, as we make our way to St. Augustine, Florida, where we will stay for the night. Upon arrival in St. Augustine, we will have dinner on our own in the area before settling in at the hotel.
2nd Day: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we embark on a guided tour of historic St. Augustine, discovering its significant landmarks and rich history. Following the historic tour, we will visit the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. In the afternoon, we make our way to Cocoa Beach, Florida, with a stop along the way at Kennedy Space Center where you can explore the past, present, and future of space exploration. Lodging in Cocoa Beach area for the night, where you will have the evening free. (CB)
3rd Day: We will have breakfast at the hotel, followed by a leisurely walk on the beach. We will then board the coach and depart for Miami, Florida, and travel through Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Upon arrival, we will meet with a local for a guided tour, and they will provide an immersive experience of Miami's rich history and vibrant culture. Some of the things we'll see include include the Miami Beach Boardwalk, Bayside Marketplace, Little Havana, Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and more! We will stay in the Miami area tonight, and you will be free to explore on your own. (CB)
4th Day: After breakfast, we will depart for Key West, Florida, driving across the iconic Seven Mile Bridge. En route, we will stop at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo. Here, we will enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride aboard the Spirit of Pennekamp, a high-speed catamaran. Following the boat tour, we will continue our journey to Key West, Florida, our home for the next two nights with evenings free to do as you choose. (CB)
5th Day: Enjoy a relaxing morning in Key West with breakfast included at the hotel. Next, we board the coach for a guided tour of Key West. A few of the highlights will include passing by the Southernmost Point, the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, and Key West Lighthouse with Keepers Quarters Museum and more. The remainder of the day is free in Key West. (CB)
6th Day: Following breakfast, we bid farewell to Key West and travel back across the Seven Mile Bridge to the Everglades National Park. Here, we will experience an unforgettable airboat swamp tour through the Everglades. Observe alligators, a diverse array of wildlife, and plant species in their natural habitat. Following the airboat tour, we will continue our journey to Naples, Florida. This evening, enjoy a sunset dinner cruise aboard the Naples Princess. Relish scenic views of Naples Bay, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Gulf of Mexico while indulging in a delicious dinner. The rest of the evening is free. (CB, D)
7th Day: After breakfast, we travel to Sarasota, Florida, where we'll visit The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, also known as the Ringling. Following the museum tour, we will travel across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which spans Tampa Bay and connects St.Petersburg and Tampa. Lodging in the Tampa area, the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. (CB)
8th Day: After breakfast, we begin the final leg of our Florida Circle journey, traveling to Amelia Island. En route, we will travel through Ocala, Florida, renowned as Florida's Horse Country. We will make a stop at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala. Following a visit to the Equestrian Center, we continue on to our home for the night on Amelia Island. The remainder of the day is free. 9th Day: This morning, after breakfast, we will board the coach and head home with many fond memories of our Florida Circle tour. We will arrive home at approximately 8:00 PM. (CB)
