Penn-Dutch Sights & Sounds

Featuring: Noah

1st Day: Today, we will make our way to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival in Lancaster, we will check into our home for the next two nights. The evening is free.

2nd Day: This morning we’ll meet our local guide to travel the back roads and hopefully get to see the Amish working in the fields. Our guide will lead us into the countryside and talk about the Amish customs and traditions. We’ll be passing by several one-room schoolhouses, which are still being used today by the Amish children. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see Amish horse and buggies clip-clopping down the roads.  Next, we’ll head to the Kitchen Kettle Village to enjoy lunch on your own. Stroll through the village of 42 shops and restaurants. Next, we will visit the Bird-in-Hand Farmer’s Market. A delightful country shopping experience! After a delightful day, our dinner stop will be a smorgasbord dinner. After dinner, we will go to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see Noah. With a catastrophic storm on its way, Noah is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. As Noah endeavors to live faithfully in the midst of an increasingly chaotic world, can he trust that God’s promises run deeper than the rising waters around him? Returning for one season only, this landmark production takes you on board one of the world’s best-known voyages as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary story comes to life in this special 30th anniversary season! (CB, D)

3rd Day: After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Gettysburg National Military Park for a guided tour through the Park. The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion", Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address". Continuing home after visiting Gettysburg, we will arrive approximately 10:30 PM. (CB)

Special Notice: Balance due 30 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 30 days of departure will result in payment forfeiture.
