Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

1st Day: Depart this evening and travel through the night to New York City.

2nd Day: Arriving in Manhattan at approximately 6:00 AM, we'll drop the group near the Port Authority building at 42nd & 8th. Walk to 6th Avenue and decide if you want to head uptown towards the Central Park area, or downtown towards Herald Square where the event is being televised. Die-hard fans will line up along the 2.5-mile parade route as early as 3:00 AM!!  Even if you're not right out in front, you'll enjoy the sights and sounds of parade participants and Marching Bands as they make their way down 6th Avenue. The balloons are easily seen from any sidewalk along the route regardless of the crowd. There is no seating for the parade, come prepared with a camp stool, cane chair, or something similar. Collapisible telescoping stools are a great option, and they are lighteweight! The Parade first took place in 1924 and is one of the oldest Thanksgiving parades in the United States. The 3-hour parade is held in Manhattan, and takes place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Enjoy the balloons, bands, performers, and maybe you'll even be on TV! After the parade you will be free to do as you please, although stores and attractions are effected by Thanksgiving hours, so check ahead for hours of operation (or call our office). Visit a Holiday Market, go ice skating in Rockefeller Center or Central Park, take in a movie or visit one of the observatories, there is still a lot to do and see in the area! We will meet back at the Port Authority building for a 7:00 PM departure from NYC.

3rd Day: Arriving back approximately 6:00 AM.

Please Note: Admission fees to attractions or tours you choose to do, are not included and they are subject to Thanksgiving Day hours of operation. Please do not purchase non-refundable tickets until the trip is definite, there is a minimum number of people needed in order to run the motorcoach, and we do not want you to be inconvenienced.
