Penn-Dutch Sights & Sounds

Featuring: Daniel

1st Day: Upon arrival in Lancaster, Pennsylvania we will check into our home for the next two nights. The evening is free.

2nd Day: This morning we’ll meet our local guide to travel the back roads and hopefully get to see the Amish working in the fields. Our guide will lead us into the countryside and talk about the Amish customs and traditions. We’ll be passing by several one-room schoolhouses, which are still being used today by the Amish children. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see Amish horse and buggies clip-clopping down the roads.  Next, we’ll head to the Kitchen Kettle Village to enjoy lunch on your own. Stroll through the village of 42 shops and restaurants. Next we will visit the Bird-in-Hand Farmer’s Market. A delightful country shopping experience! After a delightful day our dinner stop will be a smorgasbord dinner. After dinner we will go to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see Daniel. Taken from his people, Daniel is exiled far from home in the powerful kingdom of Babylon. Now this faithful servant must navigate his new life inside a palace filled with golden statues and shifting empires. As royal pressures mount, Daniel is faced with a dangerous choice. Will his trust in the one true God remain steadfast through every test of faith? From the fiery furnace to the infamous den of lions, DANIEL is a spectacular theatrical experience for the whole family. Witness one of the Bible’s most hope-filled stories as it comes to life in this brand-new original stage production from Sight & Sound Theatres. (CB, D)

3rd Day: After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Gettysburg National Military Park for a guided tour through the Park. The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion", Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address". Continuing home after visiting Gettysburg, we will arrive approximately 10:30 PM. (CB)

Special Notice: Balance due 30 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 30 days of departure will result in payment forfeiture.
