1st Day: Today we travel to Nauticus Maritime Museum, a maritime-themed science center and museum in Norfolk, Virginia, also known as the National Maritime Center. The complex includes the Battleship Wisconsin, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, and the Norfolk Cruise Terminal. Nauticus has an aquarium, hands-on exhibits, interactive theaters, and a variety of educational programs. Enjoy self-guided tours of the Museum and the Battleship Wisconsin. After lunch on your own, we will board the Victory Rover. The Norfolk Harbor cruise aboard the Victory Rover is your front row seat to the naval fleet! See destroyers, submarines, and other vessels while taking in the sights of the harbor. We check into the hotel before dinner this evening at Captain George's Seafood Buffet. Captain George’s legendary buffet has been heralded up and down the East Coast as one of the best collections of fresh seafood and regional cuisine available. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet including Alaskan Snow Crab legs, steamed shrimp, Oysters Rockefeller, scallops, prime rib, and fresh broiled fish, along with a wide array of salads, entrees and desserts prepared fresh daily. 2nd Day: Breakfast will be included at the hotel this morning. After breakfast we will depart the hotel to visit the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. This museum is home to one of the world's largest collections of warbirds in flying condition. We will return to the hotel and then spend the afternoon attending the Neptune Festival in Virginia Beach, VA. 2024 will mark the 50th anniversary for the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival! This oceanfront festival is sure to have something for everyone! Every year, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival’s many offerings. Daily concerts at festival stages are scattered along 30+ blocks of the boardwalk and feature 20+ performances from local, regional, and national recording artists. On the boardwalk you can find over 200 artisans displaying handmade work at the Art & Craft Show that has been top-ranked across the country. You'll also find 22 magnificent sand sculptures created by world-renowned international sculptors at Neptune’s International Sandsculpting Championship. (CB)
3rd Day: Following breakfast this morning, we will depart the hotel and spend the morning at the beach. We will depart for home after our time on the beach, arriving approximately 6:00PM. (CB)
