Discover the beauty and charm of Lake Lure. Upon arrival we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Lake Lure Inn. Then, relax on the covered tour boat while your skipper guides you past local attractions and landmarks such as the locations used in filming the popular Dirty Dancing, the recently restored historic 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa, and the breathtaking “Million-Dollar View.” See why National Geographic named Lake Lure one of America’s most beautiful man-made lakes. After the boat tour we’ll head to the scenic Chimney Rock Park. Marvel at the 75-mile views and explore one of the hiking trails to see the 404-foot waterfall. (Note: The walk to the base of Hickory Nut Falls is approximately 3/4 miles each way.) Returning home after an enjoyable day of touring. Arriving back approximately 9:30 PM. (L)
