1st Day: Join us as we travel to Chattanooga, TN, one of America’s most breathtaking cities. Upon arrival we’ll check into our home for the next two nights and get ready for the fun to begin. Tonight, we will enjoy Chattanooga’s newest entertainment experience, River City Sessions. River City Sessions is a new variety dinner show featuring Bluegrass and Americana music, along with storytelling and comedy in the Appalachian Roots tradition. We will enjoy phenomenal entertainment and a delicious Southern buffet including one entree and two sides. (D)
2nd Day: We begin our day with a guided tour of America’s Scenic City! Sites include: Chattanooga Choo Choo, Northshore & Coolidge Park, Bluff View Art District, Chattanooga National Cemetery, Tennessee River, Ross’s Landing, Bessie Smith Cultural Center, Historic Warehouse Row and more! A Boxed Lunch is provided at the conclusion of the city tour, to eat en route to the Tennessee Valley Railroad. This afternoon, we will experience a 50-mile round trip train ride on the Tennessee Valley Railroad Hiwassee Loop, up the beautiful lower Hiwassee River gorge. This 4-hour trip will take you to the top of the famous “Hiwassee Loop” where the tracks cross over themselves as they corkscrew up the mountain near Farner, Tennessee. Following the train ride, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the area’s best restaurants! (B, BL, D)
3rd Day: This morning we will head to the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway. The Incline’s trolley-style cars climb through the natural beauty surrounding historic Lookout Mountain at a breathtaking 72.7% grade – straight up! Sit back and enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and valleys from the observation windows on the train as well as the panoramic views from the observation tower at the Incline’s top station. Departing for home after our visit to the Incline Railway, ending our adventure to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arriving back approximately 6:30 PM. (B)
