Rail & Sail • New England Fall Foliage

1st Day: We begin our journey to New England today. We will overnight in New Jersey and continue on our journey tomorrow.

2nd Day: Breakfast this morning is included at the hotel before departure. We depart early morning today and begin our journey into New England. Our first stop today takes us to Essex, CT where we board the Essex Steam Train for a 12-mile, narrated round-trip into the Connecticut River Valley – designated “one of the last great places on Earth”. Upon arrival at Deep River Landing, passengers are escorted onto the Becky Thatcher Riverboat for a cruise along the Connecticut River. Lunch will be served on our cruise today.  We board the Motorcoach and continue on to Yankee Candle's Flagship store in S. Deerfield, MA before continuing on to Vermont where we will overnight. A delicious dinner is included this evening at the hotel. (CB, L, D)

3rd Day: Following breakfast, we will depart for Holderness, New Hampshire to the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center where we will take a scenic cruise on Squam Lake where the movie “On Golden Pond” was filmed.  Lunch will be included on your cruise today. After our cruise, we'll make our way to Fadden's General Store where you can enjoy a tour of the sugar house and museum, sample Vermont Maple syrup, and still have some free time for shopping at this quaint New England favorite. We'll check in to our hotel for the next 2 evenings in Lincoln, NH before boarding the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train for a fabulous ride and delicious four-course dinner. (B, L, D)

4th Day: Breakfast is included this morning. Today we'll head out to visit Littleton, NH named one of the top six charming towns in New England by Travel Trivia.  Enjoy shopping and lunch on your own before we head over to North Conway to the Conway Scenic Railroad for a scenic train excursion through the beautiful White Mountain National Forest.  After our ride, we'll board the coach and enjoy more New England scenery as we ride New Hampshire's Kancamagus Highway on our way back to Lincoln. Dinner is included this evening. 5th Day: After breakfast, we say good-bye to the White Mountains and begin our journey to Lake George, NY where you will have time for lunch and shopping on your own. This afternoon we have a scenic cruise on Lake George aboard the Adirondac or Minnie-Ha-Ha. You'll have some time to explore on your own before we depart for Queensbury, NY - our home for the night. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B, D)

6th Day: After breakfast we will head to Lancaster, PA. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel for the night, evening is free. (B)

7th Day: Have breakfast and board the coach for our return trip. Arriving back approximately 7:00 PM. (CB)

Special Notice: $100 deposit per person is required to reserve a seat. Balance is due 30 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 30 days of departure will result in payment forfeiture.
