1st Day: Upon arrival in Atlanta, we will head to Stone Mountain Park. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the park before the evening fireworks. Your ticket will include access to: Skyride, Train, 4D Theater, Mini Golf, Historic Square, Dinosaur Explore, Discovering Stone Mountain Memorial Museum and more. This evening we will enjoy Stone Mountain’s fantastic Fireworks Celebration! First, enjoy the Lasershow Spectacular in its famous natural amphitheater with “More Lights, More Lasers and More Music!” The show includes a lighting feature at the base of the mountain shining up like fingers of light showcasing the 825 foot mountainside. The special patriotic fireworks finale will immediately follow the Lasershow. We’ll check into the hotel following the fireworks celebration.
Please Note: In order to secure entry to Stone Mountain Park, we have to go directly to the Park where we will remain until after the fireworks display. Please be aware and be prepared for what some have said is a long day. You are welcome to bring chairs for the fireworks/laser show portion. They can be left on the bus and retrieved at the appropriate time.
2nd Day: This morning we will be going to the Georgia Aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium is the World’s Largest Aquarium. With 10 million gallons of fresh and marine water and more than 100,000 animals, representing 500 species from around the globe, you’re sure to see things you’ve never seen before! The Dolphin Tales show is a larger-than-life theatrical performance incorporating not only the talents of the Aquarium’s dolphins, but also live human actors, dramatic costuming and amazing effects. Home to whale sharks and manta rays, Ocean Voyager is the world’s most magical aquarium exhibit with 6.3 million gallons of water. Watch thousands of animals in front of the largest viewing window in North America. See a whale shark, the largest fish on earth, measuring up to 40 feet long. The Georgia Aquarium is the only aquarium outside of Asia to house these amazing animals. Next, we will visit the World of Coca-Cola. Browse the world’s largest collection of memorabilia that celebrates the refreshing beverage that was created in Atlanta in 1886. While Coca-Cola was first served at a small pharmacy soda fountain near Underground Atlanta, it is now served over 1 billion times a day and is enjoyed in over 200 countries across the globe. Learn about the legend of the secret formula for Coca-Cola and see the vault where the formula is secured, get an inside look at the bottling process and more. Following our tour, we will depart for home, arriving approximately 11:00 PM. (CB)
