Historic Savannah & Historic Charleston

Red-Eye Extended Tour

1st Day: We depart early morning and travel to Historic Savannah, GA. Upon arrival, we will drop everyone in a central area of the Savannah Historic District. You will then be free to do as you please. The Historic District of Savannah is the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with cobblestone streets, manicured gardens, and oak-shaded parks drizzling with silvery Spanish Moss. Savannah is abuzz with art, culture, festivals, live theater, outdoor cafes, gourmet restaurants, and true Southern hospitality. The largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States, Savannah contains more than twenty city squares filled with museums, churches, mansions, monuments and famous forts of the Revolutionary & Civil War eras. Meet locals. Shop for great souvenirs. Take a tour. Enjoy the local cuisine. There is so much to see and do; such as exploring the City Market, with charming stores, upscale boutiques, antique shops, art galleries and more. Take a carriage ride, a cruise of the Savannah Riverfront, a trolley tour or a walking tour of the Historic District. Visit the Bonaventure Cemetery, Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace, take a Paula Deen Tour and even eat at Paula’s restaurant, The Lady and Sons. You can spend the day as you choose. (Note: Admission fees to any attractions or tours you choose to do are not included.) Lodging tonight will be in the Savannah Historic District.

2nd Day: We depart this morning and travel to Historic Charleston, SC. Upon arrival, we will drop everyone in the area of the Historic Charleston City Market. You will then be free to do as you please. Meet locals. Shop for great souvenirs. Take a tour. Enjoy the local cuisine. There is so much to see and do; such as exploring the sprawling City Market, which houses more than 140 merchants, including 20 locally owned boutiques. Take a carriage ride, a harbor cruise or the boat out to Ft. Sumter. Visit the South Carolina Aquarium or one of the historic houses. Enjoy shopping in the one-of-a-kind boutiques in the historic district, take a guided tour on one of the local buses, or visit the waterfront park. You can spend the day as you choose. (Note: Admission fees to any attractions or tours you choose to do are not included.) Everyone will meet at a designated location around 8:00 PM and we will depart for home. Be sure to enjoy dinner in Charleston before we depart. Arrival back is approximately 1:30 AM.
