1st Day: Upon arrival in Lancaster, PA, we will check into our home for the night. This evening an Amish Feast is included. After dinner we head to Strasburg to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see – Moses. From the banks of the Nile River to the depths of the Red Sea, MOSES is a spectacular entertainment experience for the whole family! Set adrift as a baby, he is an unlikely hero – until God calls him to lead His people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. Journey with Moses as he ventures through the wilderness, encounters God at the burning bush, and ascends to the top of Mount Sinai. Experience one of the Bible’s most epic stories as MOSES comes to life with massive sets, special effects, and live animals in this original stage production. (D)
2nd Day: After your continental breakfast, we will board the coach for the Bird-in-Hand Farmer’s Market. There are over 30 standholders offering delicious selections of fresh-from-the-farm fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, jams and jellies, health foods, fresh baked goods, candy, homemade fudge, homemade Good ‘N Plenty ice cream, canned goods, quilts and handcrafts, and more. Plus, glassware, books, clothing outlets, and locally-made furniture. A delightful country shopping experience! Next, we’ll head to the Kitchen Kettle Village. Stroll through the village of 42 shops and restaurants built around their nationally celebrated Jam & Relish Kitchen. Sample pepper jam, watch fudge being rolled, or go for a horse drawn carriage ride. And did we mention the shopping? It’s like a treasure hunt with everything from hand-carved signs, to handmade quilts, to Brighton leather goods, to UGG boots and so much more. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Village. We’ll depart for home after lunch, arriving back approximately 9:30 PM. (CB)
