Join us for unique experiences on this Wine and Whiskey Tour. This morning we will visit Childress Vineyards, where we will enjoy a Private Winery Tour which gives a history of the vineyards while walking around the facilities and learning about how the wines are made. Next, we’ll have a private wine tasting, which will include six wines from their classic and varietal offerings. Each guest will also receive a souvenir wine glass. Following the Tasting, a sandwich buffet lunch is included in a private space just for our group. After lunch, we’ll head to Concord to visit The Depot at Gibson Mill, which has over 88,000 square feet of antique furniture, household items and mementos from the past. More than 600 individual dealers stock their booths with one-of-a-kind items, making The Depot at Gibson Mill one of the largest and most popular antique malls in the Southeastern United States. We’ll spend a couple of hours here before departing to visit America’s first distillery located in a former prison. Go behind bars and tour the former prison that is now Southern Grace Distilleries. Learn about the history of the prison and how the award-winning whiskey is crafted, have your mug shot taken and enjoy a whiskey tasting in the world’s only solitary confinement tasting room. After our visit to Whiskey Prison, we’ll return home, arriving back at approximately 7:00 PM.
