1st Day: Travel today to the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront. On the way, we’ll stop in Norfolk for a 2-hour narrated Naval Base Cruise, giving you a front row seat to the U.S. Navy’s Norfolk-based fleet. From a vantage point aboard ship, passengers will witness the majesty of the Navy’s aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, guided missile cruisers, and other vessels that make up the world’s most powerful sea-going armada. Following the cruise, we’ll head over to Virginia Beach and our oceanfront home for the next two nights. The evening is free for your enjoyment. Note: Anyone wishing to take in the Headliner Concert tonight at the Patriotic Festival may do so on their own. Tickets and transportation are not included, and would be the responsibility of each individual. The hotel is approximately 21 blocks from the Main Stage. Virginia Beach does operate a trolley system and it picks up right outside the hotel; however, it does make numerous stops en route.

Hear the stories and learn about the contributions of the men and women of military aviation to our country. Next, we’ll head to the Cape Henry Lighthouse, the 4th oldest lighthouse in the country. It was the first federally funded lighthouse, dating from 1792, and is next to the “First Landing” site where English settlers arrived in 1607.
