GAYLORD OPRYLAND

RESORT

WINTER SPECIAL

Grand Ole Opry

Country Music Hall of Fame

1st Day: Upon arrival in Nashville, we will check into our home for the next two nights, the fabulous Gaylord Opryland Resort. Under a majestic, climate-controlled glass atrium, you’ll be surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls. You can unwind, explore, shop, dine, and be entertained to your heart’s content. Highlights include a 44 foot waterfall, fountain shows, and tours aboard the Delta Flatboats, all inside the resort.

2nd Day: This morning, enjoy a guided Nashville City Tour. An enlightening and interesting narrative will include the downtown area, with some of its colorful history, famous Music Row, the Bicentennial Mall, the State Capitol, and Nashville’s Parthenon. This afternoon we will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the home of priceless artifacts, dynamic exhibitions, Nashville’s legendary recording studio, and more. In the museum’s permanent exhibition, Sing Me Back Home: A Journey Through Country Music, visitors are immersed in the history and sounds of country music, its origins and traditions, and the stories and voices of many of its honored architects. The story is revealed through artifacts, photographs, and text panels, with a rich overlay of recorded sound, vintage video, and interactive touchscreens.  This evening we have reserved tickets to see the Grand Ole Opry. What began as a simple radio braodcast in 1925, is today a live-entertainment phenomenon. Dedicated to honoring country music's rich history and dynamic present, the Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and the contemporary chart-toppers who have folllowed in their footsteps. More than 60 acts are members of the Opry, and you can expect to see a substantial number of them at any performance.

3rd Day: Have breakfast and board the coach for our return trip. Arriving home approximately 8:00 PM.

Special Notice: Balance due 45 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 45 days of departure will result in payment forfeiture.
