Celebrate the 4th in Our Nation's Capital

1st Day: Today we head to our Nation's Capital. After lunch we will proceed to the Arlington Cemetery, America’s largest national burial ground with more than 500 acres of landscaped hills. Explore the rich history found within the cemetery grounds on an interpretive bus tour. You will see the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, President John F. Kennedy’s gravesite, U.S. Coast Guard Memorial, U.S. Army Gen. John J. Pershing’s gravesite, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Arlington House (The Robert E. Lee Memorial). Also, witness the changing of the guards. Afterwards, we will check into our home for the night. After dinner, we will head into Washington for the spectacular Fireworks display. We will drop off at Union Station and you will have four to six long blocks to get to the Capitol area. This National Independence Day Celebration promises to be one of the most spectacular in the nation, with the Washington Monument serving as backdrop to dramatic music and fireworks. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair.
