1st Day: Upon arrival in Lancaster, PA, we will check into our home for the night. This evening an Amish Feast is included. After dinner we head to Strasburg to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see – Jesus. Found in all 4 gospels in the New Testament, this show is based on the account of Jesus’s life. The show is more than a historical account...it’s an unexpected portrayal of the character of Jesus and the everyday people whose lives He transformed. Scenes include Peter’s catch of fish, Jesus walking on the water, feeding of the 5,000, and family-friendly perspectives of the crucifixion and the resurrection. This is the ultimate story of rescue. 2nd Day: After your continental breakfast, we will board the coach for the Bird-in-Hand Farmer’s Market. There are over 30 standholders offering delicious selections of fresh-from-the-farm fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, jams and jellies, health foods, fresh baked goods, candy, homemade fudge, homemade Good ‘N Plenty ice cream, canned goods, quilts and handcrafts, and more. Plus, glassware, books, clothing outlets, and locally-made furniture. A delightful country shopping experience! Next, we’ll head to the Kitchen Kettle Village. Stroll through the village of 42 shops and restaurants built around their nationally celebrated Jam & Relish Kitchen. Sample pepper jam, watch fudge being rolled, or go for a horse drawn carriage ride. And did we mention the shopping? It’s like a treasure hunt with everything from hand-carved signs, to handmade quilts, to Brighton leather goods, to UGG boots and so much more. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Village. We’ll depart for home after lunch, arriving back approximately 9:30 PM. (CB)
