Join us as we head to America’s Largest Home at the most beautiful time of the year. The timeless beauty of Biltmore House, its collections of art and historic Vanderbilt family treasures are all the more enchanting with the festive addition of dozens of exquisitely decorated Christmas trees, miles of garland, hundreds of poinsettias, and more lights than you can count. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the Deerpark Restaurant. Savor mouth-watering southern cuisine served buffet-style in a peaceful, natural setting with plenty of rustic charm and sweeping views of estate pastures from its front door. A wall of windows overlooks an interior courtyard that’s perfect for relaxing after the meal. After lunch, we will go to the Antler Hill Village. This charming village houses the estate’s Antler Hill Farm, the Winery, the Biltmore Legacy Museum, and a few shops and restaurants. To add to your holiday experience at the Village, the trees, buildings, and pathways to the restaurants, shops, and Winery are illuminated with a glittering cascade of lights, the fountain is aglow with special visual effects, and the champagne bubble ornament display that adorns the Winery’s Tasting Room ceiling is nothing short of stunning. For a different experience of Biltmore House beautifully decorated for the season, delight in the joy and the wonder of Candlelight Christmas Evenings. The flickering candlelight and cozy flames are reminiscent of the first Vanderbilt family Christmas in 1895. Entering the House, you are greeted with the soft glow of luminaries and holiday lights on a towering Norway spruce tree. There are thousands of ornaments on more than 55 magnificent Christmas trees, and with the gentle glow of candlelight and firelight, and live performances of holiday music, it makes for a truly magical evening! Returning home after having spent a wonderful day at the fabulous Biltmore House. Arriving back approximately midnight.
