SC Pecan Trail

Ready for something different? Join us for a fun and fabulous day trip to Florence, SC, a contemporary Southern Belle of a city.  We won’t be making a breakfast stop on this tour, so be sure to eat before you board, or bring snacks with you. On today’s adventure, we will follow portions of the South Carolina Pecan Trail! The Trail is a culinary adventure through Florence County that highlights local restaurants and businesses featuring pecan-themed foods and products. Launched in 2017, the trail celebrates Florence's heritage as a major hub for pecan production. You will visit numerous businesses and attractions, track your progress using a Pecan Passport to collect stamps from participating locations. Our journey begins at Buc-ee’s, known for signature snacks like Beaver Nuggets and fresh brisket BBQ, where we will be joined by a local guide who will narrate our activities for the day.  Other stops include the Pee-Dee Farmer’s Market and Young’s Pecans, known for their on-site bakery. Enjoy lunch at Julia Belle’s, and top it off with a delectable slice of white Russian Pecan Pie!  Up next, our guide will lead us through a curated tour of the Florence County Museum to explore some art and history.  Afterward, we will have some free time in downtown Florence to explore. Be sure to visit Chocobella’s to get your free bon bon. Pick your favorite flavor! Before departing for home, we’ll collect our Pecan SWAG (Stuff We All Get) to commemorate our day. Returning home approximately 7:00pm. (L)
