Hop-on/Hop-off bus, Swamp Tour & Mardi Gras World with a Local Guide

1st Day: Today, we depart for our overnight stay in Greenville, Alabama. In the afternoon, we will make a special stop at Priester's Pecans, a beloved Southern institution. You'll have time to explore their store, sample delicious pecan treats, and pick up some souvenirs. Priester's is definitely a stop worth talking about, known for its incredible Southern hospitality and delicious pecans. Afterward, we'll continue to our hotel in Greenville, putting us closer to New Orleans for tomorrow's adventures.

2nd Day: This morning, after breakfast, we travel to the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. We expect to arrive in the early afternoon, where you'll receive your ticket to the Hop-On/Hop-Off City Sightseeing bus so you can explore the city at your leisure. Ride the loop for a great taste of the city - or hop off at any of the 18 stops for a more immersive experience. There is so much to do in New Orleans! Have beignets at Cafe DuMonde, hang out in Jackson Square, take in the mighty Mississippi, or shop until you drop. Tonight, you are free to enjoy the New Orleans nightlife, perhaps venturing to Bourbon Street! (B)

3rd Day: Following breakfast at the hotel, a local tour guide will join us for an unforgettable day. We'll begin with a unique journey into the Louisiana Bayou on the Manchac Swamp Tour. As we drift through the waterways, look out for swamp creatures like the American alligator and learn about the Louisiana Wetlands and the history of the Cajun Town of Frenier. Next, we'll head to the French Market District for free time to enjoy lunch on your own. This historic district, America’s Oldest Public Market, spans six blocks with over 20 retail shops, diverse food vendors, and entertainment. In the afternoon, our guided tour continues to Mardi Gras World! Get up close with colorful Mardi Gras props, jovial jesters, realistic alligators, and even Marilyn Monroe with her skirt flying! You'll view awesome floats like the 140-foot "Leviathan" and the 240-foot "Captain Eddie’s S.S. Endymion." There will be plenty of photo opportunities, including dressing up in authentic carnival costumes. Tonight, prepare for a fantastic experience with the Mississippi River Dinner Cruise! Enjoy dinner and scenic views as we cruise along the iconic river. (B, D)

4th Day: After having breakfast at the hotel, we'll make our way to Atlanta, Georgia, which will be our home for the night. The evening will be free for you to enjoy as you choose. (B)

5th Day: This morning, we will visit Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and The King Center. You will have time on your own to explore both the Park and the King Center, and to pay your respects at the final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King. The Center, established by Coretta Scott King in 1968, preserves his legacy and dream of nonviolent social change. We will then depart for home, arriving back approximately 7:30 PM. (B)
