1st Day: Upon arrival in Lancaster, PA, we will check into our home for the night. This evening, a smorgasbord dinner is included. After dinner we head to Strasburg to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see Joshua. From the banks of the Jordan River to the towering walls of Jericho, JOSHUA is a miraculous adventure for the whole family. Journey alongside the people of Israel as they navigate their new-found freedom in an unforgiving wilderness. When Joshua is called to replace Moses as their faithful leader, tensions mount in the midst of dwindling supplies and approaching armies. With one last fortified city standing between the Israelites and the Promised Land, unexpected help emerges from behind enemy lines and Joshua’s trust in God’s plan is put to the ultimate test. 2nd Day: After your continental breakfast, we will board the coach for the Bird-in-Hand Farmer’s Market. There are over 30 standholders offering delicious selections of fresh-from-the-farm fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, jams and jellies, health foods, fresh baked goods, candy, homemade fudge, homemade ice cream, canned goods, quilts and handcrafts, and more. Plus, glassware, books, clothing outlets, and locally-made furniture make a delightful country shopping experience! Next, we’ll head to the Kitchen Kettle Village. Stroll through the village of 42 shops and restaurants built around their nationally celebrated Jam & Relish Kitchen. Sample pepper jam, watch fudge being rolled, or go for a horse drawn carriage ride. And did we mention the shopping? It’s like a treasure hunt with everything from hand-carved signs, to handmade quilts, to Brighton leather goods, to UGG boots and so much more. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Village. We’ll depart for home after lunch, arriving back approximately 9:30 PM. (CB)
