Alabama's Gulf Coast

1st Day: Today we will be traveling to Montgomery, Alabama—the capitol city. After we check in to our accommodations for the night, dinner will be on your own. Evening is free to enjoy at your leisure!

2nd Day:  After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will head over to the Wharf Resort and Marina. Our first day will be spent at ‘Bama Coast Cruisin’. This car show promises to be absolutely stunning, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Canal Bridge. It will be a laid-back, family-friendly weekend filled with amazing cars, entertainment, and that signature southern hospitality. You can expect to see a range of classic, custom, and exotic vehicles, you'll also have ample opportunities to explore the vibrant shopping and dining options along Main Street at The Wharf. (CB)

3rd Day: After breakfast at the hotel, we will kick the day off  by visiting the Historic Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, where we can dive into the fascinating maritime history of the area. You are welcome to climb the tower’s 177 steps to the top for a world-class view! Next, we’ll make our way to the National Naval Aviation Museum, which is known as one of the largest aviation museums in the world, right on the Historic Naval Air Station Pensacola. It’s truly a show-stopper! In the afternoon, we’ll set sail on a scenic dolphin cruise, which will be a delightful way to connect with the local wildlife and enjoy the beautiful waters. To wrap up the day, we will have dinner, on your own, at a local restaurant, where we can reflect on the day's adventures. Please Note: This site is an active Military Base. 4th Day: Today we will be traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, our home for the night. After checking in, we will enjoy dinner at the esteemed Paschal’s Restaurant. This historic venue was a significant gathering place for civil rights activists during the 1960s and 1970s, notably frequented by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Paschal’s has received a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of its rich legacy of civic hospitality, as well as its exceptional culinary offerings. 5th Day: This morning, we will visit Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and The King Center. You will have time on your own to explore both the Park and the King Center, and to pay your respects at the final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King. The Center, established by Coretta Scott King in 1968, preserves his legacy and dream of nonviolent social change. Following our visit, we will depart for home, with an anticipated arrival time of approximately 7:30 PM. (CB)
