Don't miss the exciting North Carolina Hot Air Balloon Festival. A fun, family-oriented event. Come experience the beauty and wonder of 50 magical hot air balloons decorating the sky! Be amazed by the sights and sounds of the colorful hot air balloons. Also, enjoy great live entertainment, stroll the Artisan Village to shop for unique gifts, or visit the Balloon Fest Marketplace. There are plenty of food options on East Street. Later this afternoon, as long as it is safe to launch, we will witness the Hot Air Balloon Mass Ascension. Then, at 6:30 PM, we see the spectacular Balloon Glow. The hot air balloons are inflated at night because the flames make for such an eerie and beautiful effect. It's quite extraordinary to behold as one hot air balloon after another ignites its burner and, finally, all of them light up at once. Returning home after the Balloon Glow. Arriving back at approximately 10:00 PM.
